Contest closes on August 2 (my birthday!) and I'll announce the winner on that date as well.  Giveaway open internationally.

Thanks so much to all my readers and followers, you guys mean so much!

Please and Thank you

Yes, you're reading this correctly, relationships 101 is back! So swing by every Friday for another dose of relationship advice.

Be Polite.

Manners are important, that’s why your parents taught them to you. So why do so many people let their manners slip when they become comfortable with their partners?  I've seen guys treat stangers nicer than how they treat their girlfriends.  There is something terribly wrong with that.

For example, when we get comfortable, we stop holding the door for the other person.  You wouldn't walk through a door knowing there was someone behind you and let that door slam right in the stangers face. But so many people let that happen to their significant other.

Example two, when we get too comfortable in a relationship we stop saying our please and thank yous.  It's amazing how a simple "please" can make a statement less of a demand and more of a question.  Since my boyfriend and I have been going out for so long, I often forget to say my "thank you's".  Just those two words make him feel appreciated and it acknowledges the kind gestures that he does for me.

Sometimes, things get complicated, we get busy, and we rush through our lives.  But a lot of arguements could be spared if we just slowed down and go back to the basics.  It's one thing to be comfortable in your relationship and it's another to be down-right rude.  So always, remember the manners your mother taught you!

Mirror, Mirror

Snow white.. that's what my sister said my outfit looks like.  Maybe I should have held an apple and then a prince will come in on a white horse and... well a girl can dream.

So this was my outfit for date night last night.  We went for oysters and Japanese tapas.. yum.  Of course my boyfriend, being the meat and potatoes guy that he is, made us go to McD's afterwards.  At least I got an apple pie out of it (so gooood) but I wish we had a bigger variety of pies in Canada.  When I went to Beijing they had Taro pies and pineapple pies, the taro was my favourite.  Has anyone been anywhere else?  What other flavours do they have?

Wide Awake

Happy belated Canada Day and Happy early Forth of July!  So, quick recap of my week: did training for a new job and I've been planning my sister's baby shower!  The baby shower isn't for another two weeks but I'm excited, I can't wait to bake all the goodies I have planned!  It's so exciting because my sister is not only having one but two little bundles of joy.  I can't wait for the twins to arrive and I'm just hoping my sis will be able to attend the shower because she's getting really big!  To see some of the ideas I plan on executing, swing by my pintrest.
