This is a really sticky situation. For me, I would just never date a friend's ex, there are plenty of guys out there.. do you really have the share the same dating pool as your friend? Granted, I know there are a lot of variables that factor into this decision so here are some questions you need to ask yourself.
- How would your friend feel? Is she ok with you dating her ex, did they end on good terms, will you two still be friends if you started dating her ex? Are you willing to jeopardize your friendship for this new relationship?
- How did he treat her? If he didn't treat her right, then chances are he's not going to treat you well either.
- Why did they break up? Did they break up because they just weren't a match or did they break up because he couldn't commit, partied too much, etc.?
- How strong are your feelings? If you just want to mess around then it's not worth ruining your friendship, if you have a really amazing connection, then it might be worth exploring.
